We are a 501(c)(3) incorporated in Connecticut and managed entirely by volunteers who want to strengthen local educational opportunities. The GEF is independent of all public and other private organizations. And since volunteers do all the Foundation's work, donations translate directly into grants for learning initiatives.

Our goals are to create enthusiastic, engaged learners; foster collaboration across the Groton community; expand learning opportunities for Groton residents; and promote diversity, equity and inclusion.
