The Palace Theater is one of Connecticut’s premier performing arts venues and a cornerstone of the region’s cultural and tourism landscape. Conveniently located in downtown Waterbury, just off I-84 and Route 8, the historic theater presents nearly 200 events annually, including Broadway tours, concerts, comedy, family entertainment, community celebrations, and educational programming.

Originally designed by renowned theater architect Thomas W. Lamb, the Palace Theater is a stunning example of Renaissance Revival architecture, featuring an elegant blend of Greek, Roman, Arabic, and Federal design elements. The theater underwent a transformative restoration as part of a major economic redevelopment initiative for the City of Waterbury and the State of Connecticut, reopening to the public in 2004 following a $35 million restoration.
