About

The COMO Thrift Shop is a beloved nonprofit retail destination right outside the Stonington Borough.  Operated by the Stonington Community Center (COMO), the shop has served the community since 1947 and is one of the oldest thrift stores in the region. Its inventory includes gently used clothing, furniture, books, jewelry, housewares, collectibles, toys, and seasonal items, with new donations arriving regularly. Every purchase directly supports the COMO’s nonprofit programs, including youth art, athletic, education, and community enrichment programs.

Located at 45 Cutler Street in Stonington, the thrift shop is known for its quality merchandise, welcoming atmosphere, and ever-changing selection of unique treasures. Donations are essential to its success and help sustain the shop’s mission of promoting reuse while benefiting the community. The COMO Thrift Shop also operates special after hours shopping events in tandem with the changing seasons, which offer a chance to shop and connect during a fun night out!

COMO Thrift is open Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m to 4 p.m. and Sundays 1 to 5 p.m. Donations are welcome and encouraged Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Check out the shop on Instagram @comothrift to see daily treasures and special events!
